What about a Giving Kiosk or a Card Reader?
At this time neither Kiosks nor card readers are available. However, mobile giving, text giving, and online giving are available.
Is One Church Giving secure?
As required by the PCI Security Council and all processing banks, One Church Giving is a PCI Compliant Service Provider. This means One Church Giving conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry.
Additionally, One Church Giving and One Church Software uses 256 Bit SSL technology for data transactions. All personal, credit card, & bank information is submitted using 256 bit encryption. There is no stronger form of protection than this encryption.
What payment types does One Church Giving process?
We can process payments/donations from all the major card brands: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express; additionally, we also process ACH/eCheck transactions.

Are there additional costs?
There is a $10.00 non-usage fee charged for each month there is $0.00 in processing. If you process at least one transaction in that month (any amount), no fee is charged.
Regarding transactions, how soon does the money go into the church’s account?
Money from Credit/Debit Card transactions are deposited into the church’s account within 1 – 2 business days. Money from ACH (e-check) transactions are deposited within 2 – 3 business days.
When is the transaction information available within One Church Software?
Information on transactions appear in One Church Software immediately. This includes any fees and actual amounts deposited (net and gross).
If giving increases at our church will we receive a better rate?
Yes! The system reviews processing volume quarterly. If your giving meets the threshold for a new tier, you will be notified and offered the option to opt into the new rate. Also, if giving decreases, you will NOT move down tiers – keeping you at the lowest rate possible.
What payment types does One Church Giving process?
We accept payments/donations from all the major card brands: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express; additionally, we also process ACH/eCheck transactions.
How does text giving or text-to-give work?
First someone sends a text message to the church’s number with the phrase GIVE and a dollar amount for example “give 25” (i.e. GIVE 25). The text message must be sent to the number that was provided to your church by One Church Software when you enabled text and voice messaging.
If this giver has already set up text-giving then they will receive a ‘thank you’ message. The donation will be sent to the church’s bank account and the transaction will automatically be recorded in One Church Software and linked to the donor.
If the donor hasn’t yet set up text giving then they will receive a prompt on their mobile device linking them to a donation form. This allows the donor to connect their phone number with their profile and a form of payment. Once that’s completed the text donation will be processed and any text donations made in the future will be automatically processed.
Can a church choose to only accept donations made via ACH or Debit Card?
Yes, this is configurable. Meaning you can choose to only accept donations made via ACH or Debit Card, and not accept donations made by Credit Card.
What is the chargeback fees for credit cards and ACH?
The credit card charge back (i.e. dispute) incurs a $25 fee. The returned item fee for ACH is $15.
Which level of PCI-DSS compliance will we need as a Church? Are there any penalties for non-compliance?
If you are only using the One Church Giving platform to handle credit card data and you will not be handling any payment-card data yourself, then the only requirement is to complete the SAQ-A questionnaire yearly. These questions are mainly yes/no questions and help to validate that your organization is not storing cards or any sensitive data. This questionnaire should only takes a few minutes to complete.
Failure to complete the questionnaire may result in fines.
Once enrolled in our giving platform, you will be given access to a portal which we make available to all customers to help maintain compliance at no additional cost (assuming SAQ-A).
